Stupidity on summit

The recent meeting between presidents of Ukraine and the USA has received mixed reactions in spite of some ugly visuals and statements that have come out of it. While the meeting as such was a good demonstration of how not to have a summit meeting the questions involved are grave. While some are celebrating Zelenskyy’s conduct of standing up for his country and its honor others are calling him stupid, unaware of diplomatic protocols and arrogant and warmongering for his false bravado in face of dire circumstances at the war front. The major takeaways from the meeting are that the war is not over yet and Europe has decided to take up greater strategic role for itself. Vice president Vance has emerged as a strong political leader in the republican camp. Putin is in a better position since. While everyone is claiming a victory for himself, the world order is at a cusp of turmoil. The US credibility as ally has been hit hard, coupled with the growing technological and economic advances by its rivals we may be witnessing the unraveling of Pax Americana. A right wing conservative restricting and even oligarchic world order may be well poised to take over.
