Indignation underplayed

The sight of a 104 Indian citizens handcuffed chained and brought to their homeland in the most in dignified manner has raffled our collective sense of well-being. The Trump administrations decision to deport unauthorized immigrants may not be diplomatically challengeable but their manner of indignation needs to be challenged. The absolute silence of the union government in this instance and their attempts to hush up the issue by not allowing press to the site as well as their choice of a non-international airport in Punjab also hints at their attempt to underplay the issue and to reinforce the mass of Punjab as the centre of illegal immigration although it’s now known that Gujarat and Haryana had more passengers in this flight.
