The IPC report on Gaza has reiterated something known and denied for more than a year now, and Israel has denied it again. The UN body has responded too late, after thousands of infants and children have succumbed to the enforced starvation by Israeli blockade.
The report may not make much difference though. The Zionist regime has repudiated its conscience, but the question looms over the larger international community. If the international community including UN is unable to deliver aid across Israel’s blockade, even through the international waters in the Mediterranean, it is moral timidity.
Despite the massive protests by the common public, throughout the world, their governments have denied them any moral succor. Israel has instead launched fresh ground offensive against Gaza, which would make the limited aid, further difficult.
While the US, especially the trump administration, is too much under Zionist influence to respond, it is the abject failure of Russia and China. At a time when the entire world feels morally outraged by the US complicity and looking for someone to address it, they are shying away from responsibility.
They may never be able to form global poles independent of the US. For the 2 million people in Gaza, already resigned to their fate, the report brings some comfort that their suffering has not gone unrecognized.
