The reports and photographs of mass starvation and severe malnutrition in children are gut wrenching. More than 60 thousand dead in 2 years of genocide, with a third of them children. The world has taken note of this most horrific spectacle recently after ignoring, justifying or even arming for all this while. The Netanyahu regime has displayed the worst tendencies of imperialism, settler colonialism, racism and genocide in active and avowed pursuance of its Zionist ambitions. It has committed war crimes that would weigh on the conscience of the sane world for a long time. Despite bombing flat much of Gaza, its hospitals and even churches, it’s now blocking food aid, and worst shooting and bombing desperate hungry people, lining up for the meager food aid available. Images of Bodies of infants, with swollen bellies and collapsed limbs, will haunt our generation forever. The Zionist stranglehold over the American government and media was never so evident. The Indian government needs to protect not only the material interests of its people but also its conscience. It needs to speak up affirmatively for at least allowing food aid and medicine to the needy. It needs to honor its stand of over 7 decades and not use this tragedy to please its depraved domestic constituency.
