Delhi elections

The 2025 Delhi elections have once again been a bilateral contest between the incumbent AAP and the BJP. Despite all prepoll discourse, the Congress could not convert it to a three corner contest. While both the parties are claiming a comfortable victory, it is evident that the AAP has lost some support as even its leaders are not claiming to repeat the superlative performance of the previous two elections. The AAP leaders are alleging the partisan role of the election commission and malpractices bye the BJP, the personal constituencies of its three tallest leaders, including the incumbent and last chief ministers are generally accepted to be in a tough contest. The latest charge of allurement of its candidates by promise of ministerial berths and huge sums of money by the AAP has further muddied the elections. The Congress has put its hopes on the BJP dethroning AAP for it to regain its base in Delhi. While there seemed to be. Increasing support for it among the Dalits and minorities.
